The 5th Design Board (Final)

I have connected each concept of the room with each design board. I wanted to express the concept of 5th room also in the design board. This room designed for mature women, so it based on antique and comfortable atmosphere. I will design the board by adding antique factors, such as wood texture which is come into my head when I think about the retro style.

Firstly, I added the main factors for design board in the new board. While designing previous design boards, I learnt that thinking about the structure after moving all main images that I will use at the first is easier to arrange it.

I found this wood texture image to use it as the background image.

I used the 'Mask' that is the third one to make an effect into the background.

 

And then, I added the gradation effect on the image.

I wrote down the title of the design board on the top.



I changed the layer style to give an effect on the title.
I used 'Drop Shadow' and 'Outer Glow' effects.

I added more images and text.

I researched some antique images on Google because I thought if I add it, the design board will look more retro style.

I chose this image to decorate the board.

Reflection; I tried to reduce any decoration in this design board because I just wanted to express simple. Actually, it was difficult to understand mature women's mood and style they usually prefer in spite of I researched before starting. Thus, I tried to recall my grandmother and it helped me design it and remind the distinct mood of 'Antique'. However, because I minimized the decoration, there were much empty space on the board. I think I have to improve this board by thinking more factors that I can add for this board. I will research more examples of  design board and then I will improve it as soon as possible!
