5th Major Work

• 5th room's theme: Antique Mood

• Mature Women (50-60 years old)

when I researched mature women's room, those interior was almost antique mood. Naturally, there were also modern style interior, however, I chose 'Antique mood' as a concept for this room design. I recalled my grandmother before designing the room to receive inspiration. My grandmother's room is based on brown color.

I think many people may recall Brown color, when they think about the antique interior or furniture. I also thought that grandparents may prefer brown color for their room because brown color give them comfortable feeling and mood.

I will try to make comfortable mood for mature women by adding some factors, such as an arm chair, a rug and the a fireplace.

I can collaborate the modern design and the antique design like this room.

Reflection; There were some difficulties while designing this room, because I wanted to design simply but it looked empty. So, I put some extra products which look like antique style. I put an arm chair since I thought the arm chair is one of the symbols of grandmother. However, it was quite easy to combine the furniture and entire room atmosphere. I think the reason why I felt easy is there is a certain and really specific concept for this room. It was fresh challenge to design mature women' room since I did not thought about the room before. I was just interested in normal adult women's room, however, I became think about designing for all ages by designing this room.
