6th Major Work
- 6th room's theme: Beach
- Young Boys (5-8 years old)
While researching, I found something in common in boys' room. There were particular items concerning their interest, such as world, dinosaur, football and so on. It was really interesting because I thought it was the biggest difference between girls' room. When I researched and designed girls' room, there was just one big theme in a room. On the other hand, boys' room has more specific theme, so I thought it would make me easier to design the room than girls' room. Also, there were usually 'Blue' color rooms. Actually, I do not know why boys like the color, it may have the same reason why girls love Pink color without any reason. I thought about how I can add a fresh meaning to the use of Blue color before designing the room.
Finally, I determined to express the 'Beach' for young boys' room, because when I recall the boys, they always enjoy running broad space, such as field or the beach.

Reflection; This room was easier to design than previous rooms thanks to the more specific sources. I always have a difficulty displaying small-sized products because it looked sometimes confusing or distracting. Thus, I always try to think how I can organize those cleanly. Finally, I found a solution, which is using a furniture like a shelf, a bookcase or a table.
I learnt the importance of the furniture by designing kids' room. However, I want to learn more about how I can design more usefully for particular people. I think I lake the analysis skill yet because the main point of the room is just toy in this room when I look at it. I need to find more factors that can be useful for them.
